THIS PRODUCT IS A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY! IT SEEMS LIKE A SCAM!!!! I am only young, (about to go into high school,) so I don’t want be rude but I am very upset. When I clicked BLUE the lights change to GREEN and so on. Well I thought it wouldn’t get any worse BUT IT DID!!!! The remote then changed and now when I click the RED button the lights change to BLUE. Luckily my family had a spare plug that was about the same size, otherwise we would have had to waste even MORE money on a new adapter. When we shook the socket, we could hear stuff flinging around inside. Then, 2 days later, the plug broke which meant that my LED’s had nothing powering them. After we got them up and the remote had batteries I wasn’t really happy, but I wasn’t really upset. The cord that connected to the LED’s was TINY!!! AND the double sided tape on the back of the lights didn’t work so that was useless. The remote didn’t come with batteries which really sucked. There weren’t any sort of warnings in the packet. I plugged up my lights to make sure that they were working and went onto the Stardust website where I found out that turning on the lights in the roll was a MAJOR fire hazard. A while later a small packet arrived on my doorstep. But if I knew what would happen next, I would have been glad NOT to receive the lights. I tried emailing them but I got no response. The website said that my led’s will arrive in a week! Then three months later and I was certain that my money was gone. We measured out my room and then bought a ten metre strip. I had seen some adds on YouTube about Stardust so I went onto the website. I was so excited when I received $50 for my birthday, it meant I could buy some LED’s for my room. THANK YOU STARDUST LEDS!! You made my son one happy little boy :) Excellent product, easy install, and the company stands behind their product. No idea what happened to all these other folks, but I would buy these again and again and have referred friends to do the same. They responded IMMEDIATELY, and agreed to replace the one defective roll. I contacted the company about this issue. One of our rolls (the 50ft came in three rolls that connect together) had a tear in it, which caused half of the lights to only work on blue.
#Stardust led install
They were easy to install and the lights are so bright! I didn’t realize how many different functions they came with and was pleasantly surprised. Lights arrived (Wow! That was fast!) I installed them immediately in my sons room for his birthday surprise. After placing my order I read these reviews and was very concerned that I had just made a poor decision. I ordered the 50ft of lights on September 15th. Also these are not a scam its a trust brand, they probably bought the fake ones (yes I have seen them) that claim to be stardust leds. All of the slow order reviews were from months ago and I guess it was just slow at them time so I wouldn't let that bother you. Another downside thought is the actual plug is very small so if you want to hang it on your wall you will probably need an extension cord. Besides all of that they are super bright and im very happy with the outcome. I would wash the area before you put up the lights because sometimes it wont stick.
#Stardust led how to
Beware there is a little tiny piece in the box, sometimes connected to one end of the leds, it popped off and I was confused on how to plug it in but then I found it which was great. It comes with a wheel of the leds, a remote with a lot of mode and even a diy feature which you can make your own colors, clear strips of tape, the white adapter, and a plug. When I got them they came in almost a blank box, I was a bit confused, I opened it up and it was what I ordered. The installation is tough and potentially dangerous, so call a certified electrician for assistance.I received them fast, like in no time at all. Another option is to hardwire the LED strips to your existing electrical supply with a hardwire power supply. You could also place a dimmer switch between the power supply and the LEDs. If you have dimmable lights, select a power supply that is also dimmable.Remember to calculate each one’s power requirement, since they may be different. If you’re planning on powering different LED strips separately, get power supply adapters for each one. Most modern adapters come with the parts needed to connect them to LED strips. It’s very easy to use, since all you do is plug it into the wall after connecting it to the LED strip. The most common type of power supply is a brick-style adapter, similar to the ones used to power laptops. Find a suitable power supply matching both the maximum power rating in watts and the amperage you calculated earlier. You now have enough information to select the perfect power supply to light up the LEDs. Purchase a power supply that matches your power requirements.
